Race Notes and Quotes:

This Week’s Austin Hill Racing Ford at Texas … Austin Hill will pilot chassis No. 103 from the AHR NASCAR Camping World Truck Series stable. The chassis will be making its debut with the team this week, having previously raced under the NTS Motorsports banner in 2015.

Hill at Texas… Hill has one previous start at the Fort Worth, T.X. facility, coming in the spring of this season. Qualifying 27th for the event, Hill fought hard and earned a 15th place finish.

Last Outing at Martinsville… Hill piloted his No. 20 Alien Gear Holsters, Lawless Jerky Ford F-150 to a career best NASCAR Camping World Truck Series finish of 10th last weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Qualifying 15th for the event, Hill spent most of the first part of the race just outside of the top-10. After some beating and banging sent the Winston, G.A. native as far back as 17th, Hill meticulously worked his way back to the front, crossing the finish line in 10th.

Lone Survivor Foundation… Austin Hill Racing (AHR) announced Monday that they have affiliated themselves with the Lone Survivor Foundation (LSF), which was founded in 2010 by Navy SEAL (Ret.) Marcus Luttrell. The partnership’s goal will be to raise awareness to the mission of the Lone Survivor Foundation, to restore, empower and renew hope for wounded service members and their families through health, wellness and therapeutic support.

Calling the Shots … Calling the shots from atop the Austin Hill Racing pit box this weekend will be veteran crew chief Mike Abner. While spending a majority of his career as a crew chief in the NASCAR Spring Cup Series, Abner has earned victories in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series as well as K&N Pro Series East.

AUSTIN HILL QUOTE:

“It’s exciting to get to head back to the Lone Star State and race on the high banks of Texas Motor Speedway,” commented Hill. “We hope to build off our momentum following Martinsville and compete up front all weekend. My AHR guys have worked tirelessly to make sure we have a fast No. 20 Lone Survivor Foundation Ford F-150. I also encourage everyone to go support the Lone Survivor Foundation, as our veterans and their families deserve our undying gratitude and support each and everyday.”
