Hill Earns Top Ten Finish at Kentucky Speedway

Austin Hill and the No. 02 Whitetail Heaven Outfitters Ford F150 team unloaded for the weekend with good speed and a decent handling truck. Spending both practice sessions within the top-10, Hill and the crew readied for qualifying, before Mother Nature decided she had other plans. With qualifying rained out, NASCAR officials set the field on Owner’s Points, showing Hill rolling off 18th. Hill made quick work of his starting position and found himself within the top-10 before the completion of Stage 1. Reporting a tight condition under the lap-35 caution for the end of the Stage, Hill came to pit road for four tires, fuel and a spring rubber adjustment. Fighting with varying pit strategy’s, Hill was forced to restart back in 15th, but once again made quick work of the trucks in front of him. Pitting for fuel only on lap-106, Hill restarted 12th and battled the remaining laps, to bring home the No. 02 Whitetail Heaven Outfitters Ford F150 in the 10th position.

AUSTIN HILL QUOTE:

“My Young’s Motorsports crew built an incredibly fast and well-handled F150 for me this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. The truck handled traffic well and allowed me to execute passes as long as I could keep the momentum up. We’ve had a string of bad luck entering the summer stretch and I hope this result shows what we are capable of and sets things in motion for our next race at Pocono Raceway. I can’t thank Whitetail Heaven Outfitters enough for coming onboard for this race and bringing all of their guests out to the track. It was a great experience and I look forward to working with them more in the future.”
