About Austin

Austin Hill is not your typical 19 year old racer. The Winston, Georgia native is entering his 12th year of racing competition in the 2013 season. His rise to stardom has taken him through almost every type of race car you can imagine including Quarter Midgets, Bandoleros, Legends Cars, Pro Late Model, Super Late Model and now his biggest challenge, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East division.

He has captured numerous championships on his racing journey including individual track, series and national championships from Florida, to North Carolina to Indiana and back to his home state of Georgia. Among his most noteworthy accomplishments are winning 29 races in 2006 along with Georgia State Young Guns Bandolero Championship, 2008 Legends Champion at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Lanier National Speedway and the US Legends Young Lions National Champion and the 2012 Legends Pro Winter Nationals Champion as well as runner-up in the Big Money 100 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Perhaps his biggest moment to date came in 2011 when he won his first ever Pro Late Model Event at the Gresham Motorsports Park. The Beau Slocumb Memorial 100 was named in memory of Austin’s friend and mentor Beau Slocumb who had succumbed to Cancer. In winning the event Hill dedicated the win to his fallen friend.

This season Hill steps behind the wheel of the #13 Rich Ford/A&D Welding No. 13 K&N Pro East Series Ford that will carry the famous orange and camouflage colors of Beau Slocumb. He will drive the race car that won 5 times in 2012 with Corey LaJoie behind the wheel and the outlook is bright for another banner season.

For Austin Hill it is has always been a family affair at the race track and 2013 is no exception. Before and after the race the “Hill Gang” is there to support Austin no matter what the outcome of the race has been. If this season follows suit look for Austin and his family to be enjoying victory lane.Austin Hill is not your typical 19 year old racer.
